Coral
Coral is considered one of the most ancient gems dating back to prehistoric times. This precious material has been discovered in Celtic tombs from the Iron Age. Coral can grow up to 40cm tall with branches that are only 4cm thick. It is from this small part of the coral that materials are harvested to create jewelry. At first glance the coral is naturally dull with a matte finish to it. Only after polishing coral, does the glossy luster come out. Coral comes in a variety of colors inlcding, orange, red, pink, black & white. The rarest color is red of course. Some believe coral can ward off evil spirits, soothe fears and tension, and help aid with difficulties of the lungs and digestion tract.
